Résumé

On the merchant side of e-commerce since 2013: carrier and marketplace integrations, first from Bangkok, now from Bordeaux. Salaried at Cdiscount, freelance on my own time.

Experience

2021 — now

Lead developer at Cdiscount

Bordeaux, France

Four teams in five years, all of them somewhere behind customer support: the tools agents work in, the account area customers work in, and the money that goes back when an order goes wrong. That last one is where I am now.

Pega eCare
A support platform for the merchants Octopia hosts, built in Pega's no-code environment on top of Java APIs. Features on both sides, and the version upgrades nobody volunteers for: Pega through Ansible, the Java APIs from 8 to 11.
SelfCare
The Cdiscount customer account area. Decommissioning Pega while keeping its Java APIs alive, writing the .NET ones for the replacement, and building the processes agents follow in Mayday.
Call Center
Split out of SelfCare to own customer cases and incidents. New micro-services and new features on the existing ones, Vault for secrets, a proof of concept on classifying conversations with AI, and the disaster recovery procedures.
Remboursements
Refunds and goodwill gestures. Java micro-services migrated to .NET, Quartz jobs to Kubernetes, and marketplace sellers' invoices pulled in so customers can actually get them. Traces and metrics, so we hear about a problem before support does.
Worked with
.NET, C#, Java, Spring Boot, MS SQL Server, Kubernetes, Vault, Ansible, Jira, Grafana, OpenTelemetry

2020 — now

Freelance developer at Kosmonaft.dev

Bordeaux, France

Integration work of my own, alongside the day job, at a deliberately small scale: one module, one carrier, one thing that stopped working.

My own modules
Mondial Relay Max, Colissimo Max and Back Market for PrestaShop. A Shopify app for Mondial Relay Max is in progress.
Merchant work
Modules built for a single shop, bug fixes and server maintenance on modules other people wrote, much of it through Fiverr.
Common-Services and Feed.biz
Consulting on the modules and apps I used to own: migrating them onto current technology, security audits and compliance, paying down technical debt, cutting the hosting bill, and automating the deployments.
Worked with
PHP, PrestaShop, Shopify, Gadget.dev, React, Node.js, MySQL, Docker, nginx, AWS, DigitalOcean, Railway, Netlify, Hotwire, HTMX, Claude Code

2013 — 2021

Lead developer, then project manager at Common-Services

Bangkok, Thailand

Eight years building the layer French shops sit on, from an office in Bangkok. I arrived as a developer and left choosing the stack, the planning and the team.

Carriers
The whole Colissimo suite for PrestaShop — carriers, pickup points, labelling, tracking — then Mondial Relay, DPD, Stuart, Couriier and La Poste tracking.
Marketplaces
Connectors for Amazon, Cdiscount, Rakuten, Fnac, Darty, Spartoo, GoSport, Mirakl, Wizaplace, ManoMano, Pixmania and Rue du Commerce. The Mirakl one alone carried Fnac, Darty, Truffaut, Privalia and El Corte Inglés.
Feed.biz
A SaaS feed integrator: product and order flows out to every marketplace above, without a shop having to install anything of its own.
Shopify
Colissimo, Chronopost, Spartoo, Couriier, Stuart, and Cdiscount Flux wired back to Feed.biz.
Label printing
A Java desktop application that sent ZPL and PDF labels straight from PrestaShop to Zebra and Brother printers. A merchant prints hundreds a day; a browser dialog is not a workflow. Common-PrintServer on GitHub
Worked with
PHP, MySQL, PrestaShop, Shopify, Java, React, Node.js, REST and SOAP APIs, XML, ZPL, Docker, nginx, AWS, Heroku
